plain flour - 300g
icing sugar - 100g
unsalted butter - 200g
egg yolks - 2
Mix ingredients, place the dough in the fridge for about 1hour. Before cutting the shapes make sure the dough is in the room temperature, makes it easier to work with. Preheat the oven to 180°C, bake for approximately 10 minutes or until golden. Allow cookies to cool then decorate to you taste.
Tips (you probably know but hey just in case)
1. For rolling the dough cover the surface with baking paper.
2. To stop dough sticking use only little bit of flour on rolling pin and on cutters. Too much flour on the dough will make it crumble.
3. For cutting a small holes (see them on green Christmas trees cookies) I’ve used interdental brush lid and pierced the small hole on the other side, which will allow you to gently blow some air if the hole gets blocked while cutting.
4. Once you’ve finished decorating sprinkle cookies with Vanilla sugar (try to use the proper one, you can find it in most Polish shops or Tesco sometimes has it)
Loved by all family. Enjoy
