We are all aware of those predictions, theories and speculations. There were quite a few movies made showing the different ways how it might all come to an End. Yet none of it happened, at least not in the scale it was predicted. The question is was it meant to be quick End or is it just slowly creeping in? I don’t have any statistical research in my hands only simple observation. I’ve managed to visit some places I haven’t seen for years and the change is there. You’re most likely going to say it is progress but that’s not the change I felt. The air, atmosphere when you walked the streets all that reminds me of The Day After Tomorrow. Empty shops, deteriorating streets, houses with signs For Sale, crime and anger amongst people.
It also seems to be quite common to live in dirt. I have done a lot of seasonal work for past the 10 years, very often had to share accommodation. I must say, I’ve only met about two decent people the rest were living like pigs. It shocks me because now we have so much technology to keep our surroundings clean and tidy yet lots of places still look like from Middle Ages. I wonder what is so fascinating about living like scum? Why people find it attractive to share on Facebook how many times they were sick last night and add pictures too? Some kitchens I’ve seen were bad enough to enter not to mention eat food prepared there.
What is going on? These days we lack money in almost every single sector Health, Education, Art, Culture, Science. If this is the direction our New World is heading to than I guess I will soon know what it feels like to be a citizen of Down in Upside Down the movie. Good luck to me and to all who feel the same.
